Bev attended the prestigious 'Central School of Speech and Drama', where she studied voice and theatre; she has worked with actors, studied Phonetics, has a Post Graduate Diploma in Linguistics, a qualification in Educational Management and also trained as an SpLD teacher. Bev understands the systems involved in verbal and nonverbal communication enabling people to deliver presentations, develop confidence, understand the impact of positive language and learn assertive behaviour skills.
Bev works in Universities with undergraduate and postgraduate students, helping them to maximise their potential and develop skills to prepare them for life beyond education. Bev runs 'Communication & Me', delivering bespoke training sessions for corporate clients preparing staff for executive level presentations and appropriate language skills. She also delivers open workshops for people who want to explore and develop their communication skills.

Dr Kate Mahoney
Dr Kate Mahoney was awarded her PhD in the ‘Socio-economic implications of organic vegetable production’ from Coventry University in 2007. She has worked on other research projects including a national ‘Local Foods’ study and impact studies for Asylum Seeker Accommodation Centres.
Kate has experience in training both small and large groups and one-to-one tutoring. She also runs innovative participatory learning workshops for researchers across the Midlands. Kate gained her CIEH Professional Trainer qualification in November 2008. She is a Belbin accredited trainer and can offer team role profile assessments. In November 2009 Kate became an accredited MBTi practioner.
Kate is a residential skills training course tutor providing mentoring and coaching for PhD students and also tutors on the many collaborative training workshops across the Midlands including the 'How to be an Effective Researcher' programme and 'Part-time Researcher' regional workshops.
